SINGAPORE: From November, Medisave can be used to cover outpatient treatment of bipolar disorder and dementia.

This comes under the existing Chronic Disease Management Programme.

Similarly, the Primary Care Partnership Scheme will be extended to cover bipolar disorder and dementia.

The Ministry of Health says this will make it more affordable for Singaporeans to manage the conditions and also avoid unnecessary complications and hospitalisation.
